Director/Vice President - Financial Communications

The perfect candidate will have extensive knowledge of the financial services industry, capital markets, and the economy.

Qualifications

  • 10-12 years of experience in the financial services industry, the sector’s business models and regulatory environment
  •  PR agency experience is preferred but not required
  • Sophisticated executive presence and the ability to be a trusted communications advisor to C-suite executives
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain solid relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients
  • Well versed in all forms of social, digital, and integrated marketing
  • Experience in working on regulatory actions, shareholder activism, transactions, restructurings and bankruptcies, and corporate governance and proxy matters
  • Proven ability to work with clients in all industries on both long-term communications assignments and on special situations

Responsibilities:

  • Manage client teams, and lead new business development alongside the Practice Group Chair
  • Develop and execute first-class communications programs
  • Build awareness of LEVICK across the country through referral sources including attorneys, investment bankers, board members etc.
  • Participate in new business presentations and write strategic proposals for potential clients that are specific to the client’s issue(s) and needs
  • Proficient at reading a long, complicated document and reducing its major points to a simpler, cogent narrative
  • Understand the importance of stretch budget goals and try to grow existing client business
  • Can easily step in to the Practice Group Chair’s role in his/her absence
