Fellowship


A LEVICK Fellow plays a key role in contributing to their team’s efforts. They are expected to actively participate in group discussions and the digital engagement efforts of clients in all of the firm’s practice groups. They demonstrate interest in communications and an understanding of basic media relations tactics. The ideal candidate will have experience pitching reporters, conducting media and internet research, implementing social media tactics, graphic design skills, and tracking and analyzing web and social analytics as part of a larger digital and traditional campaign strategy. They should have excellent written and oral communications skills, keen attention to detail, strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. In addition, as a crisis firm, Fellows will be expected to adhere to tight deadlines.


This position is located at our Washington, DC office, with remote work as an option during the COVID-19 pandemic.


REQUIREMENTS


  • Have a demonstrated interest in communications and digital media
  • B.A. in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or Journalism preferred
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) preferred


INTERPERSONAL SKILLS


  • Must be a self-starter who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking is the daily norm
  • Must be able to transition easily from working as a team player to working independently
  • Must be someone who strives for excellence, with a desire to grow and learn from the experience


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Pitch reporters, conduct media and Internet research
  • Assist in graphic design for proposals, internal documents, website and social media
  • Compile daily traditional and digital media reports to monitor clients’ influence online
  • Conduct keyword research and assist in creating website page titles and descriptions
  • Participate in creative brainstorms
  • Assist in content creation for web and social media channels (knowledge of Blog writing in WordPress ideal)
  • Assist in managing clients' social media platforms
  • Assist with Facebook and Twitter advertising campaigns
  • Assist in the production of social media and Google Analytics reports
  • Provide administrative support to your team
  • Run office errands
